A Neurologist's Approach to the Changing Medical Needs of Adults with IDD with Seth M. Keller, MD, FAAN
November 10, 2026 | 5:00-6:30 PM ET
Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are living longer, bringing age-related medical and neurologic conditions into contact with lifelong differences in cognition, communication, mobility, behavior, and health. This presentation will explore how to recognize meaningful change without automatically attributing new symptoms to IDD, behavior, normal aging, or dementia, while considering treatable medical and neurologic contributors. Participants will learn a practical, person-centered approach to investigating change and adapting healthcare and supports as an individual’s needs evolve across later life.
